Property Tax Assistance Programs (PTR) Training

What You’ll Learn

You’ll learn the procedures involved with the state’s property tax assistance programs. You’ll learn who qualifies for these programs, the application process, the documentation that applicants must provide to show eligibility, and how to correctly calculate an applicant’s potential benefit. There’ll be emphasis on correctly applying partial ownership percentages.

There’ll be discussion about the roles of the county and the roles of the state in the administration of these benefit programs.

We’ll conclude with a preview of planned modernization changes to the application process.

Who Should Attend?

County staff who are tasked with providing assistance to taxpayers in completing applications for property tax assistance. County assessors and chief deputy assessors are always welcome to attend.
