New law provides tax exemption for small sellers

BOISE, IDAHO – June 3, 2025 – Effective July 1, 2025, Idaho residents with annual sales of $5,000 or less might qualify for a sales tax exemption.

A new law (House Bill 144) exempts certain small sellers from collecting sales tax on some sales. Find details and see if you’re eligible at tax.idaho.gov/smallseller.
