Amended 850 Filing Now Available in TAP

Thursday July 30, 2026

July 30, 2026 – Beginning today, taxpayers with Idaho seller’s permits can file amended Form 850, Idaho Sales and Use Tax Returns, through their Taxpayer Access Point (TAP) account. This change answers a need from these taxpayers to easily submit an amended Form 850 online. It also allows them to keep track of the transaction in their TAP account.

Previously, taxpayers with seller’s permits who needed to amend had to submit a paper copy of their Form 850 with “amended” written on it and then mail it. This could result in delays and the taxpayer submitting multiple copies of the same amended return. Each duplicate required manual review, creating confusion and slowing down processing times.

This new TAP feature is an important step toward increasing efficiency and providing taxpayers with a clearer, more convenient process.

Idaho permitholders who don’t already have a TAP account can get one for free by starting at tax.idaho.gov/newTAP.
