You can prepare your income tax returns and file them electronically (e-file) using tax software. If you choose to e-file both your federal and state returns, you must use the same tax software to do so.
Using tax software for free (tax year 2022)
The State of Idaho partners with the IRS and certain tax software companies to allow qualifying taxpayers to prepare their federal and Idaho returns for free. They can also e-file both returns for free.
