Tax Commission annual meeting features live streaming, panel discussion

BOISE, IDAHO — Dec. 3, 2013 — For the first time, the Idaho State Tax Commission will be streaming its annual meeting live. The meeting is on Tuesday, Dec. 10 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (MST). Viewers can watch it online through Idaho Public Television’s Idaho In Session Web page or through a link on the Tax Commission’s home page, tax.idaho.gov.  

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Cents and Sensibility: the dual roles of a tax agency.” The meeting will feature a panel discussion on current tax issues as well as public perception of the Tax Commission and its roles. The panel, moderated by Dr. Jim Weatherby, will include Sen. Jim Rice; Rep. Grant Burgoyne; Tawnya Nyman, CPA; and Tax Commissioners David R. Langhorst, Ken A. Roberts, and Tom Katsilometes. The commissioners will also talk about the agency’s roles and highlight its plans for the future.

The public meeting will be held at the Idaho Capitol Building, Lincoln Auditorium, 700 W. Jefferson St., Boise.
