Tax Commission News Release

Tax Commission open regular hours on June 15 at new Boise location

BOISE, IDAHO — June 9, 2020 — The Idaho State Tax Commission’s Boise office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 15 – the day state income tax returns are due. (Federal taxes are due July 15.) The Boise office moved last summer to 11321 W. Chinden Blvd. – on the old HP campus.

Tax Commission employees will be outside the office with bins to accept your Idaho returns (not federal returns). They’ll be wearing gloves and masks. You don’t have to get out of your car, and you don’t need postage.

Visit the customer-service counter inside to make payments, have tax-related questions answered, and get state tax forms. Please follow social distancing guidelines by wearing a mask and staying 6 feet away from others.

The safest way to get help is to call (208) 334-7660 in the Boise area or toll free at (800) 972-7660. You also can visit the Tax Commission website at tax.idaho.gov to find tax forms, make payments, and get answers to tax questions.

The website features links to software providers that offer free e-filing to many Idahoans at tax.idaho.gov/freefile. The site also has Quick Pay, a free service that lets you make an online payment without creating an account. Find it at tax.idaho.gov/quickpay.
