Tax Commission’s Boise office in new location July 22

BOISE, IDAHO — July 15, 2019 — The Idaho State Tax Commission’s Boise office is moving to the west side of the city. On July 22, the office will be open to the public in a new location at 11321 W. Chinden Blvd., Bldg. 2 (former HP campus).

The Tax Commission also will remain open to the public at its current 800 Park Blvd. location near downtown Boise through July 26. The agency’s phone numbers and P.O. Box addresses will stay the same during the transition.

“We see the office move as a benefit to taxpayers,” Tax Commission Chairman Tom Harris said. “Our new location is closer to the center of the Treasure Valley’s population, and the new space enables us to streamline our operations and work more efficiently.”

More than 400 Boise office employees will move in phases throughout the summer. All employees should be working at the Chinden campus by mid-September. The Tax Commission will host an open house for the new office in the fall.

In addition to visiting the Boise office, taxpayers who need help can call the Tax Commission at (208) 334-7660 in the Boise area or toll free at (800) 972-7660. They also can visit the Tax Commission website at tax.idaho.gov to find answers to tax questions and make payments.
