Tax Commission News Release

Bannock County residents can estimate their property taxes at tax.idaho.gov

BOISE, IDAHO — July 2, 2019 — Did you know that an increase in the value of a property won’t automatically equal a tax increase? With information from recently received assessment notices, Bannock County residents now can estimate their 2019 property taxes by using a calculator on the Idaho State Tax Commission’s website. The calculator also is available through a link on the “Quick Picks” section of the home page, tax.idaho.gov.

This estimate might not include levies for new taxing districts and recent voter-approved funds. It also doesn’t include fees (e.g. solid waste, forest protection) that may be billed on tax notices. Please contact your county treasurer for a list of fees in your area.

Actual tax amounts will be determined after cities, counties and other taxing districts set their budgets in late summer.

The tax estimator is a joint effort between the Tax Commission and these participating counties: Ada, Adams, Bannock, Bear Lake, Benewah, Bingham, Blaine, Boise, Bonneville, Boundary, Butte, Canyon, Cassia, Clark,  Elmore, Franklin, Jefferson, Jerome, Latah, Minidoka, Nez Perce, Owyhee, Power, Twin Falls and Valley.
