Tax Commission’s Pocatello office to close for two days, then open in new location

BOISE, IDAHO — Jan. 31, 2019 — The Idaho State Tax Commission’s Pocatello office at 611 Wilson Ave., Suite 5 will be closed to taxpayers on Feb. 7 and 8 to prepare for a move to a new site. The office reopens at 9 a.m. on Feb. 11 in its new location at 1111 N. 8th Ave.    

Taxpayers who need help on Feb. 7 and 8 can call the Tax Commission toll free at (800) 972-7660 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  They also can visit the Tax Commission website at to find answers to tax questions and make payments.  

“We see the office move as a benefit to taxpayers,” Tax Commissioner Tom Katsilometes said. “Our new location is easier to find, and the extra space allows us to expand our service at the front counter.”   

The Tax Commission will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new office on Feb. 25. The ceremony is at 10 a.m. and will include Commissioner Katsilometes, a former Pocatello resident and member of the Bannock County Commission.
