Unclaimed Property Search Form
Most unclaimed property is tied to an individual or
company name. However, some types, including money orders, cashiers
checks, and traveler’s checks, are not reported to us by name. If
you find one of these uncashed checks, please call our office.
To begin your search enter the following:
The information in this database is provided as a
method for citizens to locate unclaimed property for themselves,
their family members, and friends. It is not provided for
commercial purposes.
The state of Idaho does not charge a fee to help
you find or claim your unclaimed property.
Search Tips:
-
A minimum of three letters is required in the
name and city fields. Try entering your last name
or business name, and first name or initial. If you enter your last name only and
you have a common name like Smith, the list of names found
will be large.
-
Keep your search as
simple as possible. It is better to scan through a list of 75
names and find yours than to look through four names and not
find a match.
- Some unclaimed
property is listed without an address. But if you know the
city, try searching by city and a last name. If you are
not satisfied with the results, enter a last name only.
- Try an alternate
spelling if your name is commonly misspelled. The names
are recorded in our system exactly as they are provided to us
by the business.
- Try your maiden,
married name(s), or former name, if changed.
- If you are searching
for a company name, leave spaces between the words (The
Acme Company) or try searching under a portion of the company
name (Acme).
- If you want to deliver
some good news to a friend or neighbor, try a search by city
only and see how many names you
recognize.
