FILE YOUR BUSINESS INCOME TAXES ELECTRONICALLY

BOISE, IDAHO — March 31, 2008 — Most businesses can now file their Idaho income tax returns electronically. The Idaho State Tax Commission has approved several software developers to provide electronic filing for corporation and S corporation tax returns.

"Since these software providers charge different fees and offer different levels of services for e-filing state and federal returns, businesses should compare the offers to see which one best serves their needs," said Dawn Glazier, tax automated systems specialist.

Electronic filing saves paper and mailing costs and allows businesses to get their refunds faster than if they file by paper.

To get a list of e-file providers, click on the "Business Income Tax Filing" link in the "Hot Topics" box on the Tax Commission’s Web site at tax.idaho.gov. The Tax Commission will add partnership returns to its e-filing program this fall.
