Tax Commission annual meeting features tax fraud panel, live streaming

Holiday shoppers may owe use tax on Internet purchases

BOISE, IDAHO — Nov. 25, 2014 — With Black Friday and Cyber Monday just a few days away, the Idaho State Tax Commission is reminding online holiday shoppers and others that they may owe use tax to the state if the seller doesn’t charge them sales tax. (Read more)

Tax Commission office in Coeur d’Alene closed on some Fridays

COEUR D’ALENE, IDAHO — Nov. 20, 2014 — The Idaho State Tax Commission office in Coeur d’Alene will be closed to the public on three Fridays during the holiday season. The office is located at 1910 Northwest Blvd, Suite 100, and is normally open on Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. (Read more)

Updates Made To The 2014 Idaho Individual E-File (MeF) Test Packed

The 2014 Idaho Individual E-File (MeF) Test Packet has been updated with the following changes:

  • Test 3 change date from 2012 to 2013
  • Test 5 change date from 2013 to 2014
  • Test 6 change date from 2013 to 2014

Updates Have Been Made To The 2014 Idaho 2-D Barcode Test Packet

Idaho has updated the 2014 Idaho 2-D Barcode Test Packet v1.2.  The changes apply to the following tests:

  • Cox return - Grocery Credit $200
  • Adamson return - Grocery Credit $320
  • Norris return - Grocery Credit $270
  • Smith return - Grocery Credit $100
  • Cook return - Recalculated
  • Cook 39R - Recalculated
  • Cox- Form 40 line 9 value corrected to 50,100
  • Adamson - Value in line 17 moved to line 18
