ACROBAT READER FILL-IN FORM INSTRUCTIONS
Overview
Idaho State Tax Commission fill-in forms use the features provided
with Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or 6.0 software. Currently, there is no computation,
validation, or verification of the information you enter and you are
still responsible for entering all required information (signatures
must be handwritten on the form). You will not be able to file these
forms electronically from this page. If you wish to file
electronically, go to our
Electronic Filing section.
Software Requirements
To view, complete, and print fill-in forms
you'll need the freely available Adobe
Acrobat Reader 5.0 or 6.0 software installed on your computer.
Completing the Form
Fill-in forms allow you to enter information while the form is
displayed by Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 (or
later version) and then
print the completed form. Fill-in forms give you a cleaner, crisper
printout for your records and for filing with the Idaho State Tax
Commission.
- Download the form by clicking on the form you would like to fill
in. Your Web browser may be configured with an Adobe Acrobat
Reader plug-in to automatically open the file within your browser window upon download. To download the file directly to
disk, click on the "Save" icon (

and choose the folder you would like to save to when the menu
window opens, then click "Save."
- Use Adobe Acrobat Reader
5.0 or 6.0 to open the file if necessary.
- Position the hand tool

inside a form field and click. The
I-beam pointer allows you to type text. The hand tool will change
to a hand pointer ( ) when you are allowed to select a field, a check box, a radio button, or an item
from a list.
- Press Tab to accept the field change and go to the next field.
- Press Shift + Tab to accept the field change and go
back to the
previous field.
- Use your mouse to select an area of the form that is not inside
a form field before printing your form. If a form field is
active (contains the blinking bar) the contents will not print.
- If the fill-in form is displayed within your Web browser's window,
be sure to use the printer button on the
Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar menu to
print the form instead of your Web browser's print function.
